SUMMER FISHING TIPS

• Focus on offshore structure such as rock piles, offshore grass, deep laydowns, and standing timber. As Bass transitions out of the spawn, they often look to group up and have a feeding frenzy. By using side scan and forward facing sonar to locate fish, you can have an epic day on the water. 

• But Don’t Overlook the Bank! Not all fish live offshore in the summer. Oftentimes the biggest fish in the lake live shallow year round and gorge themselves on bluegull, gizzard shad, and crawfish. Utilize the Jig Shack Outdoors Craw Series crankbait around the Shad spawn, wind, and stained water. When fishing shallow, keep in mind that Topwater and Chatterbaits are producing BIG FISH!
